Adele was brought to auction, late last summer, from a boarding barn in the Chatsworth area. We never could find history on this sweet, unidentified Thoroughbred mare, but remain hopeful that some day we can figure out what her life was previously. If anyone recognizes her, please get in touch! Adele is about 15 years old, roughly 15.3 hh, and a lovely mover.
Adele was fostered for us for a few months after auction, til she began to drop weight with a mysterious illness. Last month, we sent her to West Coast Equine Hospital in Somis for full diagnostics, and it was found she had an extremely abnormal white blood cell count, and a month of antibiotics were prescribed. Unfortunately all other diagnostics could not find any sign of what could be causing the abnormal white blood cell count, but the antibiotics did the trick. Adele is now all healthy!
About 50 more lbs of weight to go, and Adele will be ready to begin work under saddle. She will be available for adoption, pending assessment!
