There isn't any lower you can go, before organ damage and death will result.
As it is, Chiron, though seemingly grateful, still appears listless, it will take some time before the life comes back to his eyes. Sooner than later, we hope. But only time will tell, along with timely, proactive treatment.
Our greatest concern is being able to afford his long term rehabilitation, treatment, gelding, and hopefully, retraining. But the swelling in his knees concern us, as well.
