Three months after rescue off a feed lot, this emaciated broodmare, "Cool Shades," is making the careful ascent back to a healthy weight. And at 24-years-old, her progress has been heart-warming to see!
Foster Barb and her family have been taking wonderful care of her at their ranch in Atascadero, where they recently discovered...she's kid-broke!
"Cool Shades" is looking for her own home to pack the kids around in their backyard. Barb's place isn't the ideal setting to keep an older mare through the winter, as they're out of room in their enclosed barn, so we're looking for a home for her ASAP. This old broodmare is family-friendly and in need!
