"Cool Shades" was another remarkable transformation. A 23-year-old Thoroughbred broodmare, dropped off at the feed lot in a horrifically emaciated condition, her owners explaining they had "forgot to feed her."
Well, thanks to AHR, Barb and her vet, as well as Jan providing a layover spot, Cool Shades was able to get her 11th hour reprieve. A reprieve that too few of these broodmares receive.
Congratulations to Cool Shades, for finding a forever home with Vanessa's family. This old lady will make a wonderful, and very grateful, babysitter for the grand kids!
