The 17-year-old Thoroughbred, now named "Monte" by his new family, was rescued from a livestock auction this summer, where the only other buyers were for slaughter, charro or match racing. Monte proved to be an awesome kids horse (yes, a Thoroughbred!), so this fall, Matthew and his family adopted him as their "first horse." Santa meeting included.
Monte's sister "Bye Bye Boo Boo" is still up for adoption -- anyone seeking an awesome 17-year-old Thoroughbred mare for the family, Boo would love to join you!
