Does anyone recognize this mare?
She was brought to a Central California this weekend by a "hunter/jumper trainer," along with an OTTB mare. The trainer stated she was a Warmblood cross. Tried to claim she was good with kids. Shod up front -- does not act like she would be good with kids. She's a liver chestnut with bay characteristics, and a small star on her forehead. Old with a slight swayback. Looks to have been used as a broodmare.
We suspect she may have come from a "rescue" in the Fresno area that takes donated horses and retrains them, so added reason we're trying to find her original connections on here. And find out her real story.
On our way to the hospital now to see how she's doing, and if the vets have come upon a diagnosis yet for her weak hind end.
