Hip 91 is safe!!!!
Just delivered the very sore buckskin to our ranch, and had a little surprise at the same time. This mare is actually a boy! Either way, this buckskin..gelding is safe. We'll have the farrier out as well as the vet ASAP. Thank you to all who donated, as well as Nathalie for hauling!
Also saved tonight, at the eleventh hour, was Hip 108, the malnourished Arabian gelding. Nicki Branch of Falconridge saw his photo on our page, and contacted offering to provide safe haven for him at her rescue. Arrangements were made, and for a mere $50, his safety has been secured.
This weekend, a third horse was also saved, and he came down for the ride as well, after we rescued him from a Central California auction. A beautiful 17 hh tattooed Appendix Quarter Horse gelding. Tonight he's settled in alongside our buckskin, awaiting transport to his new home.
For the few who were saved, their whole lives have been changed. Welcome, boys!
