Hip 91 sold to the kill buyer last night. She's since been identified as unraced Thoroughbred mare "Ticket To Ride." A horse trader recently tried to sell her to us, stating that she had been sold as a polo prospect, and then returned. It was to our shock/horror to realize she sold to the meat buyer last night. With few identifying marks, and no longer covered in mud, she was unrecognizable.
We have a rescue home willing to take her, but need to raise $400 bail plus the $250 haul to get her out of there.
