In 2012, a follower alerted us to an emaciated pony she drove by every day, on the way to school. After several months of no action from the local animal control, and the pony continued to drop weight, we went direct to the owner and offered to take the starved horse "off their hands."
A year later, Vanessa contacted us hoping to adopt a companion horse or pony for her grand kids to love on. Lucy, and Cool Shades (a Thoroughbred broodmare rescued off the feed lot), fit the bill
Today, Lucy and Cool Shades, two horses who came to us horrifically emaciated, leave for their forever home, completely transformed.
Thank you to fosters Andrea and Barb for making the rescue of Lucy, and Cool Shades, possible.
And thank you Vanessa for opening your home to the girls!
If interested in adopting your very own rehabilitated rescue, please go to www.auctionhorsesrescue.com for our list of available horses. Save a life, adopt a horse!
