"Merry," one of the 8 ex-camp horses we rescued in September, was adopted this week by Rosemary!
Rosemary became aware of our rescue after we found "Wetaskiwin," a Thoroughbred racehorse she had bred, at a livestock auction. She took him back to be retired at her ranch, then fell in love with this 25-year-old Standardbred mare we had up for adoption.
Kaarin and her family fostered her since day 1, and were sad to see her go, but were thrilled to see her go to such a lovely home.
And thank you Chuck Erb Horse Transportation for getting her there!
Merry will live out her days as Rosemary's personal trail horse, in the San Diego area, and will then be retired alongside Wetaskiwin.
