This past weekend, in the midst of four auctions, a marathon, and a criminal neglect case, we also managed to pull off two awesome adoptions of our rehabilitated rescues:
Congratulations to Diamente Rial and his new family in San Diego! Like Wetaskiwin, Diamente came to a small, out-of-the-way livestock auction, where he sold to us for a pittance, bidding against the slaughter buyer...the only buyer there. This 17-year-old Thoroughbred has turned out to be the perfect "beginner horse" for Matthew and Rene's two young daughters!
Biggest thanks to Barbara Z for doing such a wonderful job of rehabilitating Diamente for us. Barbara has another great horse from us that is also ready to be placed, "Bye Bye Boo Boo" -- Let's find Boo a home next!
