"Yucca Valley Six" Update:
Tonight, the emaciated Fox Trotter mare is safe! Thanks to the offer from fellow rescuer Charlene, the now-named "Gracie" was transported to Norco this evening, so she could settle in for what will likely be a long rehab. Though the mare is lethargic and weary, our hopes are she can still pull through.
Almost all the Yucca Valley 6 have been placed, with the exception of finishing transport of the Quarter Horse mare to Ramona and the Thoroughbred gelding with the abscess. His condition is improving under treatment at his short term foster, but we hope to place him soon in a longer term setting.
"Tiz Too" is already settled in back at her original breeder's farm, courtesy of Bob Hubbard Transport, and emaciated "Last Caper" leaves Sunday for his new home with mom Kathy! Sue has the little Mustang safe and sound now, too, and says she is even more of a doll than she expected.
As always, we thank everyone for their concern, and hope justice will prevail for the victims of this horrific neglect and abuse. This is not a case the authorities, as it currently stands, are taking lightly.
