We just got word Boston Baked Bean, who arrived at auction less than 24 hours after his last race, was not picked up by the "private buyer" who purchased him. Rather than have him sent back to his original owner, who dumped him straight from the racetrack to begin with, we have agreed to buy him...unfortunately, horses that are match racing prospects sell for significantly more money than those that sell for "meat." Bail for him is $800... Ugh. And now, here we are, taking on another rescue
If anyone can help us, funds for his rescue, transport, vet and rehab are crucial at this time. This is a huge obligation we were not prepared for. The owner of his sire in Kentucky is willing to take him back....so that will be our next project. But for now, let's just get him to safety.
If you can help with funds to get Boston Baked Bean to safety, starting with an $800 bail fee, please help us urgently by donating via our paypal [email protected]
