We wanted to re-introduce everyone to Hip 253 from last Cowtown Auction, the arthritic old Quarter Horse. He was rescued by AHR for adopter Lisa, who also recently adopted Ricky and Lucy, the "bonded pair" camp horses. (We're happy to report Ricky has recovered from his bout with colic!!)
Hip 253 is now the much more excitingly named "Lightning." Lisa is the type of adopter we aim for our horses to end up with, when they head straight to an adopter's home from auction. Immediate vet and farrier -- essentials for long-neglected horses!
