Here's one of our slaughter truck rescues, Hip 259 from last week's auction, AKA "Lacy." The older Quarab mare sold to the slaughter buyer Saturday night for $210. We purchased her off the truck later that night, with the help of Lori, and she's now rehabbing alongside Teddy at foster Jodi's ranch in Northern California.

Today is vet day! Lacy and Teddy both need their teeth and shots done, can you help? Teeth will cost $300 for both horses ($150 each), and another $200 for both to be fully vaccinated. That's a $500 vet charge for one day!

This is why we try to be careful with how many horses we take on at one time. Any rescued horse will need vet care, to some degree, and it all adds up! Please help us pay today's visit, so we can rescue more!

If you would like to sponsor Teddy and Lacy's vet visit, please donate via Paypal to auctionhorsesrescue@gmail.com and please mark whether you would like it to go to Teddy or Lacy!
