For $30, this very crippled 5-year-old Azteca colt was rescued today from the livestock auction, then taken directly to West Coast Equine Hospital. Dr. Kent Sullivan gave him a thorough lameness exam, and concluded he was a severe wobbler, so severe any possible treatments would have negligible effect. And, the pain he was in was severe, constant tail swishing, with limited ability to hold himself up with his rear end.
So...the decision was made. RIP, pretty boy.
Thank you, LA Pet Rescue.
