"Ruby" was one of the abandoned broodmares we rescued at auction late last year. Although we tried in vain to identify her by tattoo, with a couple of strong possibilities, in the end we've resigned ourselves to accepting Ruby is just an awesome teenage mare, with a great head on her shoulders, so much so she's started to become a kid's horse!

Just last weekend, Ruby participated in a SCA "joust" with 14-year-old Michelle Andrew aboard, and nothing phased the mare!

Ruby's favorite gaits are "mosey" and "mosey a little faster," she's good on trail, likes dogs, and is generally a very pleasant girl to be around. She's still refining her understanding of things like "whoa," so we're not quite yet comfortable saying she's safe for a beginner yet, but almost!

Ruby is looking for a pleasure or family home, to be a solid citizen in.

If interested in adopting Ruby, please fill out our application athttp://www.auctionhorsesrescue.com/

Ruby is located in Sylmar, CA.
