"Sienna," the kind, elder-teenaged Warmblood x mare freshly rescued from auction, is settling in today at her short-term foster in Simi Valley.
For three weeks, Sienna will be given oral steroids, in hopes it will help diminish the severity of neurological symptoms she is currently exhibiting. The mare is also underweight, with deep channels along either side of her spine, so Ingrid's already got the buffet going! Fingers crossed there's positive news to come with her re-check in 3 weeks!
