IN NEED OF URGENT RESCUE:
This 5-10 year old Thoroughbred, no tattoo, is starving, severely emaciated, in one of the worst, most derelict parts of San Bernardino. Owner insists horse is a stallion, though no sign of his "huevos".. Owner insists he got her son's paint mare pregnant, though hard to tell as paint mare is also underweight but not emaciated like this poor guy. Very tired, very sweet.
We would like to rescue him, but need funds to do so. Bail will be the cheapest part - $50. But what will make or break whether we can rescue him are the expenses to rehabilitate. We need sponsors. Donations. His teeth are painfully sharp, and we may possibly have a very expensive gelding surgery, if he is a double cryptorchid, as we suspect. Re-feeding an emaciated horse like this will also be expensive -- top grade alfalfa hay, alfalfa pellets, and once he's stabilized, beet pulp and Safe Choice will be needed. And then there's the neglected feet, requiring long term rehabilitative farriery care.
Can you help??? Our Paypal is [email protected] or donations can be sent through our website,www.auctionhorsesrescue.com
Also, donations can be called direct to our hospital West Coast Equine (805) 386-7151 as we will not take him home til we are sure he is healthy and stable.
Monthly sponsors also sought while we get him back to health. Feed will be $250/month.
Hoping we can pull this off and get this horse to safety ASAP. This is a horse giving up on life. We want to give him his hope back!
