Today is Frankie's gelding surgery!
After receiving no bids at Cowtown Auction in Turlock a few weeks ago, the owner of this beaten-up stallion handed him over to our rescue. Taylor has been taking great care of him, discovered he is well-behaved and thoroughly broke, and today -- "brain surgery" with Dr. Wayne Knittle of Bakersfield!
Taylor's leaning strongly toward adopting him herself, this awesome guy. We frequently make the point well-broke, sound Quarter Horses are the sort of thing you'll really only reliably find at a sales barn, or selling top dollar at auction.
But, in this case, this unwanted stallion -- other than needing a "little" surgery -- proved to be just that.
