IN URGENT NEED OF RESCUE:
Today, we found "Blonde Fever," elderly stakes-winning racehorse, producer of $1.5 million, and dam of now-deceased AHR rescue "Blonde Bounty" (aka, Sophia).
Shortly after rescuing Blonde Bounty back in May, we discovered she sold alongside her then-21 year old dam at her breeder's dispersal sale. Sold at the same sale was eventual-AHR rescue Jessakar and her dam BelleArmour (granddaughter and daughter of Blonde Fever).
It took some work but we finally tracked down Blonde Fever today, and she needs help... She's clearly underweight, and the current owner's husband has been pressuring her to send her to the meat man.
Contrary to the belief of some, we can not always succeed in saving the day. Many are left behind. We try, and try, but often enough..fail. We failed the emaciated mare and baby in Rosamond, and they are now presumed dead or on their way to a painful death somewhere. Will the same fate befall this sweet, old mare, who earned so much for so many?
We've rescued a number of her progeny already. We hope to find someone who can rescue her now..
Blonde Fever needs rescue, and is currently in Riverside, CA.
If you can provide a home for her, please fill out our application at www.auctionhorsesrescue.com. We are looking for a hospice adopter to allow her to live out her remaining days, or a rescue with sanctuary space. Like her daughter, Blonde Bounty, she is a gentle-hearted mare, grateful for any kindness she receives. In honor of Blonde Bounty, who passed away only one month ago, we pray her dam receives a rescue reprieve as well.
