At the same time we rescued "Buck Tuddy Buck," we also negotiated this young injured Thoroughbred filly to safety.
With a large injury to her hip, still not healed, with stitches still inside, the young Thoroughbred was headed toward the slaughter truck. But with an offer to rescue from Sarah Parlier and Equine Racers, this very young girl is safe today.
Sadly, we had to make a "Sophie's Choice" and leave a number of other Thoroughbreds behind on that truck. This serves as a reminder we are always in need of adoptive homes and rescues, to provide these horses safe haven.
